Journalist Mei-Ling Hopgood, author of Lucky Girl, will discuss her experience as an adoptee from Taiwan in the 1970s and her reunion with her birth family as an adult. A panel discussion and formal acceptance of inaugural papers for a new Asian Division archive on Asian Adoptee Communities will follow. The author will be signing copies of her book.
The book event is sponsored by the Library of Congress Asian Division's Asian Pacific American Program and the Library's Asian American Association (LCAAA).
