On Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 10:00am, Eiichi Ito will offer a special tour of collections pertaining to Japan at the Library of Congress. Conducted in both English and Japanese, the tour will begin in the Asian Division reading room (LJ-150), where he will discuss the history of the Asian Division’s Japanese collection and showcase its richness. Then he will escort the participants to the Prints and Photographs Division to examine Japanese materials in a wide variety of formats. The tour will conclude with a discussion on the conservation issues of the Japanese rare book collection at the Conservation Division.
